Lost phone. Can I use a borrowed Phone?

Hi:

   Lost my Lumia 1020 phone, and going through the insurance process. I have a feeling it is going to take a while.

   In the mean time, a friend lent me her iPhone 4 from O2 because she just got an upgrade.

   Can I somehow use this phone and the included SIM on my existing O2 account?

   My mobile phone line has been deactivated for now since I reported my phone lost.

You can use the phone but only with your own sim card in. You cannot use the present sim on your account.

If you speak to customer service or go into the O2 store they will supply you with a replacement sim card with your original number. Just be sure to ask them to remove the bar on the account.

When you first insert your own sim you should get all the set up messages.

If not then text ACTIVE to 2020.

You may need to ask O2 CS in 202 to change your data settings to idata so you can use the internet on the iPhone.

If your wanting to download apps etc on it then create an Apple ID.

If your friends phone is on iOS 7 ask her to de activate the find my iPhone settings ,so the activation lock is turned off ,and you then can use the phone fully.
