Looking for a new smart phone

I have just brought a refurb. Galaxy Ace from O2 and after 6 days it is already telling me I have no internal memory left. I had to insert a 8GB SD card. I have only downloaded a couple of apps. and now after 4 text messages am being told my message memory is full. I'm thinking of sending it back and asking for a refund but not sure which mobile to buy. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks for all the links to reviews & apps. Just had a look at them & seems that the only down side is the battery.

Typically to get a days use out of my iPhone keeps me happy.

Obviously down to personnel usage patterns.

Pretty much all smartphones will require a charge every day, gone are the days of old Nokia's lasting weeks.... Typically I find the Windows OS to be the least battery draining of main 3 systems though....

You're right of course they eat batteries, I carry a booster charger when away from home that will give a couple of charges away from the mains.

Not very expensive either.

Oh right - thought charging every day was alot - perhaps not then. I'm not addicted to my phone so perhaps it will be OK. The main thing I want it to do is to be able to take cards in my retail business. Again, thanks everyone

Yes, you are probably right - until you have something better you dont know how much you will use it and get used to it.

I have just been offered a Galaxy S1 - my daughter-in-law has upgraded hers, its locked to Vodaphone though is the only problem. What do you experts think of this phone please and how easy would it be to unlock and get onto O2.

Vodafone would have to unlock it (or your local market stall) but it is a very good phone. You'll have no trouble with it at all.......
