I joined O2 through mobiles.co.uk for my last contract, so I'm not on a O2 refresh plan.

The recent price rise e-mail had this bit:

Because of these changes you have the right to end your tariff without having to pay an Early Termin...

Does this mean I can end my contract and request my PAC code, with nothing left to pay for the remainder of my term, around 7-8 months?

Thanks

@Broonie

From my understanding, only if you have over 25Gb tariff, and it does say you "may"

I would contact customer services on 202 and they will be the best to advise.

Impact of these price and roaming changes

Some of the changes to our out-of-bundle charges and Roaming Limits on Tariffs over 25GB, may mean you have the right to exit your agreement without having to pay an Early Termination Charge. If you choose to exit your agreement and have a related Device Plan you will also have to repay it in full.

As per your other thread.

You will not be charged any extra for data use in the UK (within your data limits).

My point is leaving the airtime plan I took out with my pay monthly phone (Not O2 refresh, so all one price), and move to a cheaper SIM only contract (including the percentage rises you quote), and retain the benefits of roaming for now too.

There's an opportunity for people to save money against the price rises O2 are implementing.

@JasoncPlease let me know how you get on, as far as I understand, device plans are a part of O2 Refresh, which I'm (we?) are not part of.

@madasaf1sh

I'm not sure how the paragraph got cut off for me, but here is it in full:

Because of these changes you have the right to end your tariff without having to pay an Early Termination Charge. Should you decide to end your contract, you must give us notice within 30 days of the date of receiving this communication as set out in your contract.

I'll see what customer services say, but thank you.
