Leaving O2

Anonymous
Not applicable

I want to leave O2 as they can't provide a suitable deal for my needs. I have been on chat for 2 hours and can't get through to anyone on 202 and I'm still no further forward.

Has anyone got any other avenues I can go down to leave as I would really like to keep the same number.

I would like to go on to a sim only contract until I find the right contract to transfer to.

@Anonymous Please take a look at this guide:

http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/td-p/566774

Edit: This is not a good time of day to be trying to do this. In fact, leave it for the weekend and phone customer service on Monday morning. Between 8 and 8:30 is a good time to call with less chance of a long wait to speak to anyone.

This is the problem. I work during the week and so I can't phon in the hour from 7.30-5. Then when I get home I have a baby to look after. I have tried on a number of occasions this week to get through on 202 with know joy.

I was on the chat tonight for almost 2 hours to one guy with no success of being able to change to sim only and get pac code.

How can I get my pac code without spending 2 hours talking to customer service.

The only ways to get a PAC is live chat or 202 but it isn't required to change to simo.
You only need a PAC to leave o2 completely.

No need to move to simo. As soon as you use PAC the o2 contract is immediately cancelled. You can't have your number on a different network and still have an o2 contract for the same number.

@Anonymous You'll need to decide which provider and contract you want to go to before you ask for your PAC. As @MI5 has said, you can't use the same number on two different sims. Also be aware that you will have to pay the remainder of any months that are still left on your O2 contract when you use your PAC with your new provider.

Unfortunately that's the only way to get your PAC 😞

Good luck, hope you get your PAC soon. Unfortunately waiting times are unacceptable at the moment but please be patient.
