Large bill for daughter's phone

My daughter makes very few calls and stays well under her allowance. Unfortunately she called someone for a few minutes and left the phone on. We now have a bill of £75 for a 5 hour phone call. O2 won't refund but surely as it was a mistake and not characteristic of normal usage it could be refunded?

That's why I suggested an FOI request.

Indeed. £50/is a lot of goodwill for no fault!

I thought the £50 was partly a guilt admission too (or a "we're not sure about this but not going to give in to you"). O2 gave me the Ombusman's details if I want to take it further but the hassle and extra cost of that makes me reluctant to do it
