Keeping old number, o2 to o2

Started a new contract 3 days ago and requested a transfer of phone numbers. When it didn't happen within 36 hours, I contacted cs and they escalated the issue. I'm now another 36 hours along and still nothing... any suggestions?

All you need to do is a sim swap.
You can do it yourself here http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

As you're within the 14 day cooling off period, I would phone the retention team and tell them you want to cancel the contract and that you want a PAC code and then go to someone else who might actually provide some customer service.
