My current o2 contract term has came to an end and I'm now on a rolling monthly. If I were to take out a new contract through a 3rd party supplier can I change the new device to my current number once I have recived my new device? Samsung do not offer upgrades from what I can see.

Yes you can, but there would be a little overlap with the two contracts.
Once you have the new phone, call customer services and ask them to move the number across to the new phone.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Yes it's always possible to port your number to another SIM, and very easy if with the same mobile company.

@Dawn1991

You need to ask O2 to migrate your number (different to porting and not offered by all networks)

Guide: Migration & porting into O2

You'll need to contact O2.
All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
