Keeping number when switching to a new plan

Hi!
I am currently on a sim-only contract deal and looking to take out a new plan deal (as the deal I want is not available as an upgrade). Is there any way to keep my old number when switching or will I have to keep the new number?
(FYI both are with O2 so it’s not between networks)

@Walt  Yes you can keep your old number. When you get your new contract, just call customer service and ask them to migrate your old number to your new account.

All sim only plans should be available for upgrades.

Make sure you look under your upgrade options and not your tariff change options, or just go in store to upgrade or call customer service to do it over the phone Guide: How to find help & contact O2
