Keeping my old number

I have a pay monthly phone contract with 02 that ended today, I recently purchase a new phone with 02 via an online company.
I have filled in the on line form yesterday to keep my existing number, my existing number has now been deactivated from my old sim, but hasn't been transferred to my new sim, should this happen as soon as the old sim was deactivated or does it take a few hours to swap.

@Nick68

It usually takes around 4 hours to fully port over.

Keep rebooting your new phone / sim.

Seems like things are running slowly again @Nick68

In a way it's good that both sims are dead as it means the process has started.

If the new sim doesn't come online after rebooting, you'll need to try and contact customer service to check the status Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

The best number to call on appears to be 0800 587 4005
