Keeping my old PAYG number

Anonymous
Not applicable

My new phone won't take the standard size sim I currently use.... so I've sent for a new PAYG sim.

Is it possible to keep my old number?  I've looked at the help pages that tell you how to move from monthly to PAYG and from PAYG to monthly etc etc but it doesn't mention moving from 1 PAYG tariff to another.

Thanks for your help

No you don't need to top up.

Follow the step by step instructions on the simswap page and you'll be good to go.

Yes you just need to do a sim swap.

Please take into account a swap can take from a few minutes up to approx 24 hours to settle turning your phone off and on helps the re connection.

If your unsure on performing this yourself then an O2 shop will perform the swap for you. Moving your mobile number, tariff and any Payg credit over.

Thanks for that - another question....  does the new sim have to be activated (topped up) before I request the swap?

Any credit on your old sim will be transferred over to the new sim anyway.
