Hello. I received my new phone yesterday but I was previously on GiffGaff so i want to keep my number and transfer it over to my new o2 contract. I filled in the online form yesterday morning and it said that it had been received but nothing since then. Finding it hard getting through to someone on the phone as the lines are understandingly reduced. However, I’m paying for a tariff now that I can’t use until the number has transferred. Can anybody advise please slight_smile thank you

It takes 2 days to process and port over.

Your giffgaff sim will lose signal first, then keep rebooting your O2 sim until it comes online.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thank you. It said it would transfer by the next day if done before 5pm. And should I have received a confirmation email or something, to be sure it processed correctly?

They will text your giffgaff sim with the transfer date but things are running a bit slower than normal currently.
