How long should it take to change my new sim to my existing number after the keepmynumber form has been submitted?

Actually I've just realised that the keep my number form is wrong for your purpose, hence nothing has happened.
You need a sim swap http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

I did this 2 days ago and nothing happened. Then I read...you should receive a text if it was successful.

 

I reentered the details again yesterday, I had a text saying it would be completed.

The only change in details I made was my current number, it wants the number of your new o2 sim, not the number you’re bringing over...

 

not very clear!

After three days of no response I rang 02 today and found that they had no record of my request. They have now done it over the telephone and it being Friday today it will now happen on Monday.

It would have fallen over due to using the wrong form I guess.

Looks like it, thanks for recommending the sim swap one above. slight_smile Hopefully everything's fine now but @Anonymous please do give us an update if you do get stuck again.

It’s now19:10 Monday evening and still no change of number although my phone is now showing ‘No Service’ and I unable to make any calls!
