I have gotten a new o2 sim card on a pay monthly contract and I was wanting to keep my old phone number which was a pay as you go o2 sim. I visited my local o2 store who switched the number for me and assured me it would be completed the next day. This happened on Monday the 3rd of June and currently no sign of my old sim card deactivating over 48 hours later, does anyone know does it typically take this long for an o2 to o2 switch?

@Em12387 it's usually within 24 - 48 hours but give customer services a call to chase up

I would definitely give them a call, it seems to have been missed somehow.

I will just advise here because working in the big red's complaints team I do have regular udaptes on certain issues, this being one of them.
On the 3rd and 4th of June there was an issue with the Mobile Number Porting site all networks use for number porting so this may have impacted you.
If you are simply moving your number from 1 O2 SIM to another O2 SIM then I would suggest contacting customer services and asking them to speak to their porting support team.
If you are taking your number away do the exact same to the network who is gaining your number.
