Ireland texts charges

hi all,
am on a O2 simplicity contract, my girlfriend is on o2 pay and go (both UK sims )

my girlfriend has gone over to Ireland will I be charged for sending
or receiving texts to her ?

I have just spoke to o2 but the lady i spoke to didn't seem too sure about it
but told me as we both have uk 02 phones I the texts would be out of my allowence
but didn't she seem very confidant in what she was saying

my GF says she is getting charged for sending but not for receiving them
its quite confusing as when she topped up she was told she gets 300 free texts
and I assume despite me having a contact the allowance texts and the free texts you get for topping up would be the same ?

I would be grateful of anyone has any info on this

Ireland texts charges

You won't pay any extra to send/receive texts to/from her.
She will pay to send them to you (11p) but won't pay to receive.
Her free allowance is for texts sent from the UK.

Don't know if it has changed but I got and still have the Ireland bolt on for free on contract plan. It is chargeable for PAYG. Adam I am assuming Eire or should not really be worried about charges unless close to the border.

Edit,
Ivinsp, see that you were giving the PAYG charges which may indeed be the best option as it is the lady over there on PAYG.
