Do you have any insurance that might cover repairs?
Some home insurance of bank accounts may cover your phone, so check.
If you don't have insurance and it is damaged rather than a warrantable fault, you will have to pay to get it repaired or recycle it and buy a new phone.
If you have a refresh contract, you can pay off what you owe on the device and upgrade.

Have you got insurance with O2? If so then you need to contact them Guide: How to find help & contact O2
If no insurance, then you would be better off giving Apple a call https://support.apple.com/en-gb (though they may advise you to contact O2)
