@Ramondo Your post is a little vague. What tariff are you on for your sim only contract? If you're not happy with what you're paying you always have the option to change providers if you can find a better deal.

I need unlimited data for my home for 2 weeks (until my sky broadband is connected)
Can I upgrade my pay monthly phone to unlimited data for a month and use as hotspot? Or can I buy a dongle with 30 days unlimited data?

You can if you are on a recent flex tariff.

You are allowed to flex your data up or down once per month.

Check your MyO2 to manage your account and data allowances.
