Internet access on simplicity contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

New to all this, I have been given an iphone 3gs and have taken a simplicity contract with gb of data allowance, I can access the internet via Wi-fi but how do I do get general browsing when no in a Wi-Fi area ? Someone told me I need to go go to settings and reset and then the internet access should be enabled, Is this right ? Do I select reset network settings or reset all settings.

Any guidance would be appreciated !!

Thanks

Change the settings to those below and reboot the phone. Yes, switch it off and then back on.

Go to settings/general/mobile data and make sure it's set to on.

Check the APN settings are set to mobile.o2.co.uk

Reboot the phone and you should be all set.

Just reset the network connections first. If that doesn't work come back and we'll give you the settings to enter manually.

Hi,

Thanks for replying, current settings show as idata.02.co.uk for mobile data, visual voicemail and mmsfor the APN, these were provided by o2 initially. Do I need to change them all ?? And is rebooting as simple as turning the phone off and on again ?

Thanks

You need to change "idata" for "mobile" and then reboot (turn off and on)
