Will it cost me to text American numbers if I've got unlimited texts? And if so how much?

Yes texts will cost 20p as your unlimited texts are only to UK numbers.

Just to add that unlimited texts will allow you to text a UK registered mobile anywhere in the world from your allowances free. Also free for those mobiles to receive texts but not calls.
