Hi I’m being charged for text messages whilst despite not sending or receiving any messages. Any reason for that?

@Waf

We wouldn't know.

You need to ask customer service.

If you have an iPhone though, it will send a text to register for iMessage everytime you turn it on.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hello EmilieT, sadly I spoke to customer care and they were adamant that the texts were sent from my phone. Yet I haven’t even touched my phone over the past month let alone text from it. So they offered me a good will credit of £3.97. They haven’t resolved the issue. In fact I’m still getting the same charges to the same number, which I don’t even recognise.

Thanks for the recommendation 😊

Did you see @MI5's query about the phone that you have @Waf?
iPhone's register for iMessaging by sending a message but don't notify you that it is doing so..

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Turns out @MI5 and @gmarkj were correct. The device was left unconnected to WiFi so therefore when iMessage was accessed from another device it notified this one... the price of having too many Apple products I suppose. lol. Thanks for the help guys 😊
