International caller bolt on (trial)

Anonymous
Not applicable
I used to have International Favourites to call family in America. They’ve discontinued it and now said they would give me the cheapest rate they offer. I just checked my Bolt Ons and I have something called “International caller bolt on (trial)” and so far have been charged £1.25 for a call that ended up on a voicemail and another call to an American landline that lasted only 5 minutes. I can’t find anywhere on the O2 website any informational on “International caller bolt on”. Please help me find a way to make calls to American mobile phones cheaply!

The price you have been charged will be reduced to the advertised prices in a few days time.
Whilst it's on trial the billing side of things isn't fully functional yet.
https://www.o2.co.uk/intertrial

From the link you will be paying 2p per min to mobiles or landlines.

@Anonymous The cheapest way to call the US, as in FREE, is to download WhatsApp and have whoever you're calling in the US download the app to their mobile too. You can text and call with voice or video totally free, but you both must have the app.

The only other alternative is to use Skype or a different VOIP over WiFi or your data allowance and buy credit to make calls to mobiles or land lines. Either way is a much better choice than to call using any bolt-on from O2.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
