Increase in Tariff Cost

Anonymous
Not applicable

Can someone please clarify for me.....

I have received an email to say that the tariff i am on will soon increase in cost.  I took out a 24-month contract with O2, so am shocked to see that the cost is increasing!!  Does this not completely go against the point of having a contract??  All of the terms are clearly stated (i.e. the cost per month, the term, who and when...) and then signed.

Unless someone is about to copy and paste the tiniest piece of smallprint in the world, i think we're all being had!!  If O2 can increase is by 50p today, can they increase it by £50 tomorrow??

And, if they can make changes, can i change my contract duration to say, 1 month??

Nothing you are saying is making any sense. You're just blabbering. I'm finished with this discussion....

OK, much better. A question we can answer in a civilised manner wink

O2 is run as a business, not a charity. Investments need to be made in the network infrastructure and committments to customers for levels of service need to be met. All this cannot be achieved without profit (a basic model for all businesses).

4G requires investment and they have committed to 98% INDOOR coverage by the end of 2015 (much higher than any other network) and Ofcom will be measuring them against this......

Agree, that the service outage inconvenienced a number of people last year but the issue has been identified and servers have already been changed to help prevent reoccurrence.....

There are many SIM only deals that are better / worse depending on your requirements. O2 owns Giffgaff which offer comparable deals to talkmobile. If you want to have a phone with your contract you obviously have to pay more.....
