Hi all,

Looking to upgrade soon but I dont have passport or driving license. Can anyone tell me if either of them are required in store? Either a walk in or click and collect.

@stevec1990

if you are upgrading online for click and collect O2 will send you a PIN number for collection.

More info here

Collecting your order

To collect your order in store, you'll need to bring your 4 digit collection reference, which you'll find on your confirmation email, and your passport or UK photo driving licence.

If someone's collecting for you, they'll need to bring the confirmation email which includes the 4 digit reference code and photo ID confirming both yours and their identity. This should be a passport or UK photo driving licence.

We'll look after your order for seven days – if you haven't collected by then we'll cancel the order and give you a refund.

However, not everyone has a driving licence or passport, so ringing the store as suggested by @Bambino to ask what alternatives they would accept, is the way forward.

I would think your order details from My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 or a utility bill would suffice.

@stevec1990  If you're intending to buy in store I would think you'd need some sort of photo ID. If you're upgrading, you'll certainly need your O2 account details, and probably a utility bill. Best bet would be to call your local store and ask what they require.

I would guess the same form of id you used to get your contract originally would suffice but for upgrades they usually text a code to your current phone so as long as you can show that code you will be ok.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
