I still have 17 days left on my contract but wanted to change to a better tarriff now. Will I be charged immediately or when the current contract ends? Thanks.

If you change tariffs now then you will be charged a month in advance & possibly a pro rata allowance for the few weeks

You’ll just pay the equivalent of 17 days extra of the new tariff which will be added to your next bill.
