I thought O2 to O2 was free.

Not applicable

O2 Pay monthly to O2 Pay and Go uses monthly 'Free' minutes.

If my calls to a Pay as you Go phone on O2 are using up my 'free' minutes surely this means O2 to O2 calls are not free.

'Free' minutes are paid for in the monthly fee are they not?

Depending on your tariff you used to get an allocation of free O2 to O2 calls, but this tended to be on low end tariffs and I don't think is part of any of the new ones.

As @MI5 mentioned they are included in your allowance, however once your allowance is used up they become a chargeable call.

They aren't free but are included in your allowance.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

The only one I can remember in recent times was the 100mins, 100 texts, 100mb tariff which also gave an additional 100 free o2 to o2 mins.

My son and daughter in law are both with O2. One on PAYG one on contract. They can both ring me here in the UK or when I am in Spain and their calls to me are 'free' (within the minutes allowance)

Indeed, but "included in allowance" and "free" are completely different things.

Most pay monthly accounts are now unlimited. I have unlimited calls and texts whether o2 or any other network...The reason I asked what tariff initially.
