I report 08442410582 as a fake number

Anonymous
Not applicable

Dear all

on 08Jan, i tried to contact Sky, then I searched google and found 08442410582. I called and then charged 15.9 GBP.

I contacted Sky and confirmed that this is a fake number and will automatically forward my call to Sky.

May i know whether i can reject to pay this?

Jian

You dialed it, you pay the bill I'm afraid.
If you wish to discuss it with O2 you need to call them.
Numbers on here http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

I would think via Sky, not o2.

You could try calling o2 or making a complaint though you chose to call a number you found on Google.

I'd think that as you willingly called the number O2 would be well within their rights to make the charge stand. And insist upon payment in full.

You might get a sympathetic customer service agent, but to manage expectations I'd say be prepared to pay up.

It's not even a scam as such I don't think, as it's iirc not illegal to offer these types of "service". Similarly there are companies that'll offer to process your passport, and u go ahead and input all of your details, then pay them £100 for the pleasure of doing exactly what you've just already done 😱 But I'm sure they're not classed as a scam in law as they're not doing anything illegal. That didn't go to say that morally it's not reprehensible though.
