Check if you have O2 Travel. Roaming in the USA will cost £6 per day.

But be warned data speed is heavily restricted and not worth the effort.

Wifi and Local SIM is best

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@11Fuse

Buy a local sim for data use would be my advice.

All the options can be found here, but be aware data speeds in the US are rubbish as is the AT&T network.

@11Fuse

If you have travel inclusive it is free.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Agree entirely! Just been in the US for two weeks and the data roaming has been awful: usually just a barely-there E, with very occasional 4G moments, which was in practice entirely unusable — no Google maps (even with the maps already downloaded) or whatsapp/imessage messages. It even affected a local transport app that wouldn't allow us to activate pre-purchased tickets. A total waste of £6 per day...

Didn't know about the data-transfer cap —

this must be newish as I travelled extensively in US pre-2019 and don't recall any data roaming frustrations??

Anyway, will definitely not bother with O2's data roaming package again!
