I'm Now on 02 Shared Data

So I took the plunge and moved over to a shared data tariff and I thought I would share how it happened in case anyone was wondering. Here are the details.

I currently have a iPhone 6 Plus on 20GB refresh tariff.
I also have an iPad air on a separate 3GB refresh tariff.

I called O2 and said I wanted to pay off the remaining device tariff on my iPad and then share my 20GB between the two as I wasn't using all 20GB. It was done within seconds and the entire iPad was paid off and now I'm on a £7 sim only tariff for my iPad but I can use as much of my 20GB as I want. They have carried over my 30% discount so it will be less then that.

I am paying just around a third of the airtime balance for my iPad but the bonus is I can use as much as I want. Also the lady which helped me had a sexy voice. Woop

Sounds as if that all fell into place brilliantly Liam. Certainly a recommendation for the Shared Data tariff

Not sure you would get the same advisor though ....if you needed to phone again...

I thought I would share as there isn't any clear information with this. Basically you need to make sure one device is the "lead" device which will share the data and the second will be on a sim only shared plan.

Yeah. It just takes some imagination and the ability to pay the iPad plan off in full or buy one separate.

I thought there was a flat fee for the second device using the shared data?

Not that I'm aware off. Was just told it had to be on a sim only shared tariff which is £7pm.

I thought the second sim was £15 per month or is it dependant on the level of data in the contract?
