I have spoken to two Gurus' today re the above problem, neither has solved it.

I tried the SIM in an old phone - same message.

Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks for help, How do I discover if they're saved on SIM or Phone?

Take sim out of phone and start it up - If contacts etc are visible they are stored on phone.

As it's PAYG anyone can go instore for you in UK and get a free blank replacement to send it out to you - Then call CS or use live chat to activate it when you receive it.

.... No, I took SIM out, screen is exactly the same with big blue 'Insert SIM' message ......

So that means if SIM is faulty, I've lost everything .....

Can you press the back key or end key to get passed that message at all and into the phones normal menus?

It's an old Sony Eriksson K310i.

I can get my brother to go into O2 shop in UK for me.

But sad if I've lost all the history on this SIM

Many thanks for the help to everyone 🙂

Hopefully stuff will be on the phone but you may not discover that until you get a working sim again 😞

It can be something else, but I need to know how long u have been using the number abroad, and how often do u make a chargeable call or top up?

Did online chat say they couldn't find anything wrong with the number?
