I appear to have an o2 account I was forced to sign up to during a virgin media contract negotiation.

I don't need an o2 account don't want an 02 account wasn't given any information about this. I'm being billed for a service I don't want or need.

Dare say 02 will want a termination fee.

I've cancelled the direct debit get threatening emails about not paying but I don't have the sim to even register the phone number to be able to speak to someone properly about this

Welcome to this O2 customer to customer community @TrapbyVirgin. Please note this is not O2 so we cannot access accounts or provide other direct help.

In my view, that was not a good move to cancel your direct debit. O2 will simply sell your perceived debt to a Debt Collection Agency and will trash your credit score whilst they are at it. In turn, that will make getting a mobile account with another provider very difficult.

O2 are ruthless as far as debt is concerned so please tread cautiously. 👍

If you think you have been mis sold by a Virgin Media Agent then you need to call virgin and log a complaint on 0345 454 1111 or via virginmedia.com there is naff all o2 can do as they werent on the sales call.

o2 will want a termination fee, and VIrgin will also probably put up the cost of your Broadband bill to cover the o2 sim, and also remove any benefits you have...
