After paying 24 payments on a two year contract i expected my payments to drop, but they have not , why?

Are you not on refresh?
They should drop if on refresh but if not your contract will just roll on monthly until you cancel or change either by upgrading or going sim only.

Sounds like you are on a standard contract. If you are on Refresh you'd only be paying for the airtime plan now. Where did you get the contract from
