I am with O2.

I have a Sim only 10GB contract which has just increased to £9.78 + VAT which is £11.73.

When I look on uSwitch there is a 15GB 12 month contract which costs £7.99.

Can I use uSwitch to get a cheaper tariff?

Yes you can, provided you are out of you contract minimum period.

It will require a new credit check.

Usually, it will ask if you are already a customer so you can keep your number

It is exactly what I did 3 weeks back

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
