Huge mobile data usage since upgrade S8

Received upgrade at weekend on Samsung S8. Now receiving multiple msgs regarding high mobile data use...500mb in 2 days! Normally I don't use this in a month. Msg says attributable to email. Dont know what's happened? Ideas? Experienced same?

@JohnAscot data useage can be higher after an update due to processes and apps updating, however, I'm interested to know where the message you get is coming from, is it a system message?

If so, check the email account it is referring to to see if it is stuck in a send receive loop and try force closing the app and then restart your phone.

Thx. I did send email with large attachment on Sunday but presumed had gone through successfully using wifi. That msg now deleted & bin emptied. also just forced stop on email. Yes...system generated msg. But doesn't correspond at all with mobile data o2 say ive used. Confused.

See how it goes now you've cleared it but the O2 usage may take a little more time to catch up.

Usage updates within 30 minutes or at midnight so check your myo2 in the morning

S8 says I've used 500mb in very short time. I have 1gb monthly allowance. O2 says I still have 800mb remaining. I guess o2 is correct.
