How to upgrade early via third party

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I am 17 months into a 24 month refresh contract with 02 . I would like to upgrade early and "My 02" states it will cost me £200 to do this which i'm happy to do

My question is - I have found a better deal from Carphone Warehouse . Can I upgrade with them once ive paid the £200.00 to 02? Still keeping my number ?

Which way round should I do this?  Call 02 to pay money then just upgrade through CPW online?

Is it complicated?

Also the £200 is for the device plan - am I obliged to pay anything else for the airtime plan for remaining months on current contract?

Thanks in advance

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the forum

Once you have paid the device plan you can cancel the airtime plan with 30 days notice and no fees are payable

Depending on your choice of phone you may be able to use the existing sim and keep your number (if staying with O2 network) or swap your number onto a new sim using this link

http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

If choosing to go with another network you will need your PAC code.....

See first if they will match carphone warehouse. Its worth trying as I managed to get them to waive a £99 upfront fee for my phone to match CPW deal.
