Contact O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG). They should be able to help you with this.
You will then need to go into an O2 store to activate it.

Just wondering if customers still have to go in store to activate an esim?
According to this updated advice you can do it yourself.
"The esim pack includes a voucher with a QR code which you'll need to scan using your phone’s camera. This will download an esim profile to your device. The esim pack gives you step by step instructions on how to do this.
The esim pack also contains the Sim Serial Number (SSN) of your esim profile, which you'll need in order to move your existing mobile number across to an esim"

NB: the above link also includes the phones which will accept an esim.

Assuming you already have an active physical SIM, you just need to do a SIM swap to activate an esim.
