How to get unlimited texts with pay and go?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've been with 02 in Ireland for years, and have had the same pay plan for years - ie. top up by 20e whenever I felt like it and get free texts to any network for 30 days thereafter.

Is it possible to get something similar here in the UK?

I don't need free calls, I don't need internet stuff, and I don't want to be committed to spending every month unless I feel like it.

I asked in an o2 store, but for some reason I've ended up with a plan whereby after topping up by 10 pounds, I get 25 free minutes and 25 free text messages.

If there were some way to get free/cheap texts to Ireland too that would be awesome and surprising, but I'd be happy if you could just advise as to how to get free texts to UK numbers.

Thanks.

If you're interested in free texts, maybe you should look at a GiffGaff Goodybag. They also use the O2 network. I doubt that there's any provider that would offer free texts to Ireland though.

Hi,

If you log into your MyO2 and click on 'change tariff' all the ones available to you will show and you can compare.

Possibly look at the simplicity tariffs.

On a payg tariff with an anniversary date your not committed to paying the monthly amount. If you dont top up when the anniversary date is due then you drop onto the standard payg costs until you top up again.

The allowances are for use in the Uk.
