How to find out outstanding charges when leaving

I'm thinking of leaving O2 and moving to another network so want to know what any outstanding charges will be.

I paid off my device plan a long time ago and am also well past the end of the contract term for the SIM only deal I currently have. When requesting a PAC code or texting INFO to 85075 I get an estimate of the charges to be £103.

However, this is clearly incorrect as I have no outstanding balances/charges outside my monthly allowance and the cost is £18 per month for 20GB with unlimited calls and texts. How can I get an accurate answer on this as O2 are currently unavailable to call?

Thanks,

David

If that's a sim only deal you have to pay it off when leaving or wait until it reaches minimum term.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

O2 are the only people who can help with account issues. You need to call about 8am. Guide: How to find help & contact O2

What, you're thinking of leaving o2? 🙈😭💔

It sounds like you are still within your contract... 12 or 18 months sim only contract?

and the outstanding amount could be an accumulation of your monthly fee times the amount of months remaining... ?

Did you know you can probably upgrade to another o2 product before the end of your contract... free of charge... 100gb sim only contract only £20pm AND FREE 6 months Disney plus,!!!.. say what! I'm not taking the 'Mickey'

kind regards

Curtis

Thanks for the response.

I will try and dig out the SIM only agreement from MyO2 to check this.

The reason for looking at options is that my iPhone6s is finally dying after a few years. I assume I could upgrade to a O2 refresh contract before the end of the SIm only agreement if the cost was higher than what it currently is?

You can upgrade to a refresh contract at anytime, without penalties.

The money you have been quoted is if you are leaving O2.

Thanks!

Just one final question re this.

If you go through the steps to upgrade under Your Plan it lists the Device element over 36 months (if you have it set for this period) and the Tariff as Monthly rolling.

I assume that if you take this out you are signing up for the device element and the tariff for the 3 years? Monthly rolling makes me question that but I assume to contract is across both the device and the tariff and not just the device?
