How to cancel a tariff altogether

I would like to top up my sim with credit so that it does not expire.  I do not want to exchange it for texts, calls or data.  How can I cancel my current tariff to this. 

please help!

Are you Pay & Go? What tariff are you on now? If you want a tariff that doesn't expire I believe you would need to take out a contract.

There is one not shown on this link called Basic tariff which is still available if you contact Customer Services. The Basic allows you to top up when you need to ....http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
