How to bring over number to o2 from a different network with the puk code?

Hi when I signed up to o2 pay monthly sim it asked if I would like to bring over my existing number which I do so I got the puk code from my old provider and gave it to o2 then I got an email telling me it had failed as the number I have just got from o2 isn't active yet (have just got the sim today) and now I can't find anywhere I can re do it now I have activated this sim
Can anyone help me please?
