How much is this sad farewell going to cost?

I have been with O2 for years (around 15 I think) & have always been happy with them & sung their praises.
Unfortunately my phone has broken & I can't live with my old one until June when my contract expires.

I have decided on the blue S5 & have read all of the upgrade options on this site but none are to pay off your contract & move companies. I like O2 but don't want to pay £5 per month more than EE & get 5 or 7Gb less data per month compared to EE.

I'm guessing this will mean I won't get the 25% off the line contract but is it actually possible for me to just pay up & leave or do I have to have two contracts until June?

If you do move then use a PAC Code to retain your mobile number and please ensure you get good signal by the other network by trying out their PAYG sims for a while where you live, work and commute.

Perhaps buying a phone from somewhere like CEX to tide you over until your contract is fulfilled.

A better deal is nice but worthless if you cant use it properly !

Yes you can just pay up and leave which will be the number of months remaining multiplied by your monthly payment, or just buy the phone sim free and use up your current contract until the end then cancel and move for free.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Yes, you can pay off your contract early.

If you login to My O2, it will tell you how much you will need to pay to end your contract early. Alternatively call O2 and ask them how much it will be.

Yeah it's saying £85 so I guess it will be around £115 without the 25% off.

I have a friend who doesn't live far away & recently changed to EE, he seems to have decent signal (although he couldn't pick up a data connection the other day).

Cheers guys.
