How much does it cost to text the UK from another European country?

So I am going on holiday to France soon and I was just wondering how much it costed to text back to the UK from France? I have O2 Travel but when I looked on the information page it didn't mention texts unless it was about people without O2 Travel. I may have just understood it wrong and it could be the same for O2 Travel users and non O2 Travel users but since I'm not sure I decided I'd ask the community.

It's about 7p with O2 Travel and 8p without depending on Pay Monthly or Pay and Go:

You might also want to consider using an app such as Whatsapp which is free to send and receive texts over wifi. It works extremely well, the only downside being that your friends or family would need to install it on their phones. All my family uses it.

O2 travel only affects data and calls on Pay monthly so sms are 7p from the countries covered (eu legislation on max cost)
