How do I know when my number is being transferred?

I just took up a new contract and entered pac code to keep my current number. How long does it take before number transfers and how will I know when itโ€™s being transferred to my new sim/phone ๐Ÿ™‚

It takes 2 working days which doesn't include weekends. 

You will receive a text notification to let you know when but expect Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Your old SIM will turn off when the transfer starts and it will take a couple of hours for the number to transfer across.

Turn phone off and on to help it along.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
