Seriously, an SMS, an App reminder AND an E-MAIL, and a Google Assistant reminder based on the e-mail, for a bill payment does seem to be overkill... But it does not annoy me, TBH. Here's why: everyone gets these, it's a legal requirement to let customers know how much will be taken by direct debit at least 2 weeks before payment is taken.

It is overkill yes, no other companies do it including banks which are a tad more important than my phone bill. Muppet
