Hello, im currently on o2 refresh 20gb. Ive just heard my employer will be cutting my hours, so il no longer be able to afford the airtime part of the tarrif. Ild like to lower the airtime so il be able to afford it more. Ive spoke to online chat a few times and they stated nothing can be done, is this true?

All you can do is pay off the handset cost and cancel the airtime.
You can then choose a cheaper sim only deal to use in your phone.
You cannot lower your tariff any other way I'm afraid.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi Mr freckles

Sorry to hear of this problem. Although Live Chat are not usually recommended to discuss any problems with accounts they may be right in this instance. However, i suggest you ring Customer services and explain your problem. They may be sympathetic and give you more help They could look at payment plans etc

Sorry to hear sir but there is no way that you can downgrade anymore, follow @MI5 advice & pay off the device plan then you can walk away & either put a sim only tariff into your phone or one of the pay as you go tariffs
