Hi, trying to activate a iPhone X.

Trying to activate an iPhone X. Needs updated but won’t give me the option to update even when connected to iTunes.

It doesn't need updating to activate it. an update is only required if you are trying to restore from a phone with a different iOS version

You should be able to skip through the setup routine and update the firmware, then reset it and restore your backup.

Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
