Instead try the web version

If that works then delete the app, reboot phone and reinstall
If none of that works then

Lot of people with the same problem since O2 are updating things in the background

You need to contact O2. Unfortunately, this is a customer to customer community so we cannot access your account.

You might need to send the social media team a few reminders, but that is still less onerous that hanging on the 'phone.
