Yes you can do this...its an easy process.... phone dependent.

Just one thing I would add and that You need to bear in mind that if you do it trough your phone's menus,i.e., Iphone, you will be charged, as it's converted to MMS and will not be part of your SMS allowance. Hope this helps.
