Help swapping from vodafone to o2

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all, so I have a vodafone number what i wish to change to o2. My current o2 number (with text and web tariff) and i do not wish to lose my tariff. I just want to simply swap this vodafone number so it becomes my new number on o2 (text n web). How do I do this? Or will I lose my text and web tariff?

Also, is a puk code just numbers? When I rang vodafone they gave me an 8 digit number. Is this the correct code?

Thanks slight_smile

You need a PAC from Voda and then you need to call 4445 and give it to O2 CS.
A PUK is something different and won't transfer your number.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You won't lose your tariff by simply porting the number. As said you need a PAC not the PUK.

I rang vodaphone and said the pac/puk code. I said I wasn't sure what it was called so spelt 'p-a-c'. He gave me an 8 digit number 😕

so i go to o2 live help  "wrong code" so i go to live chat on vodafone "we can't give you your pac on live chat but i have these numbers for you to ring"..

you know what, it doesn't matter! Not worth the hastle for a stupid phone number lol.

Hmmm, I used Voda's live chat to get a PAC from them in the past - They must have changed policy now.....?

yes you are still able to get a PAC through the Vodafone live chat.

i suggest you try again so that hopefully you'll get through to someone different.

Just checked the Vodaphone forum and copied this reply about pac codes

"The quickest way to get your PAC would be to pop into a Vodafone store or by using Live Help

Alternatively, this can be sorted by phoning 191"
