Help! I have been a victim of scam. What can I do?

Hi all,

I have just discovered that I have been a victim of a scam. I have had a very hectic 2017, with my hubby being in another country and me on my own looking after 2 toddlers, so I haven't really looked at my O2 bill. My fault, I know... but when you see a large bill and you have been calling your husband abroad, you just assume that the money charged is because of your calls and not because of anything else. Or at least, I did. However... this month my husband has been at home and I have had a bit more time to look at my finances. I went to check my bill today and I saw I was being charged over £30 on "things you bought". I hadn't bought anything that I knew about... so I went to have a look and I found out that three services had been taking money from my O2 account, 2 since the 25th/27th of January and one since 4 weeks ago. In total, I calculated my losses to be £160.46!!!!

Do you know what can I do? Is there anything I can do to recover this money? The scam was from three companies, WWE Mob (apparently a wrestling company... I don't even LIKE wrestling!!!), iFitness and Cellfish. I'm going to ring O2 tomorrow to try at least to stop any FURTHER charges, but does anybody know how can I recover my money? 😞

Thanks to anybody who can help!

iFitness seems to getting more and more common. If you search the forum you will see many threads regarding that scam.
Call them on 03333217014 and ask for a refund and to remove your number immediately
They will usually send you a code via text which will entitle you to a refund ....you need to cash in at your local post office.

Have you lent you kids the handset, as WWE and the cell fish apps are aimed at Children (cell fish is smurfs and a angry birds copy), that may explain the charges...
