Ok, so just ordered a SIM off the website, was told ' ooooh get an esim, it works fine with your phone', going through the whole process of setting up an account, to find 'hey, we lied'. Here starts the journey. Now three hours in to a completely useless online service (this is after fighting my way past the horrendously named 'assistant' by lying to it and telling it I was having trouble placing an order (hmmmm, begone cynical thoughts). Now there's a few issues coming into play by now, not least of which I can't login to things because it tries to send a security code to a number on an esim which I can't use. Anyway, first droid decides he's hoped he's helped and immediately connected me straight back to the initial 'assistant', the second droid wishes he could help, oh how I feel the regret in his cut and paste responses, but he's now decided that he can't help and I appear to have been connected to someone else who says my satisfaction is their priority..... This could be interesting.
Also to add, my nearest shop is 12 miles away, and if I could get there I can take my passport or driver's license as valid id, neither of which I have, and the porting process is going to take place tomorrow.
So, have I ******ed up by choosing O2? Is this the usual level of customer 'service' I should expect?

O2 and esim should not be mentioned in the same sentence
Your only hope now is customer service or social media
