I signed up 3 months and 13 days ago and was GUARANTEED an upgrade in 3 months with no credit checks. Now I'm being informed that it'll be another 2 months 17 days until this is possible. What can I do? I feel I've been cheated and lied to!

Everything on all networks is slowing down.

Probably when this is over, things will revert to normal.

Meanwhile if you need to contact O2 then look at this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

if the account was credit checked just for a simo then no one can override it, the only option is to take out a new line and they can move your number over and close the old one down with no term fees. Upgrades used to be able to override the credit check but its been removed so the only option is doing a completely new connection. It will be reported to a team that you have been misinformed about saying you can upgrade when you cant.
I work for O2 but my comments and opinions posted here are solely my own and do not reflect those of Telefonica"
